It's been five years since Anna Nicole Smith overdosed in a Florida hotel room on February 8, 2007. Find out what has happened to her family, friends, and hangers-on since.
On February 8, 2007, Anna Nicole Smith was found dead in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Miami. The former Playboy playmate, Guess? model, and reality star was only 39. An autopsy later ruled her death as an accidental overdose of the sedative chloral hydrate, which became lethal when combined with the 10 other prescription drugs found in her system.

Fans of “The Anna Nicole Show” -- which ran from 2002 to 2004 on E! -- were given a glimpse into Anna Nicole’s close bond with her son, Daniel. Sadly, the 20-year-old died in his mother’s hospital room while visiting her just three days after the birth of his little sister, Dannielyn, on September 10, 2006. An autopsy revealed Daniel overdosed on a lethal combination of Zoloft, Lexapro, and methadone. At his funeral in the Bahamas, Anna Nicole was so distraught, she opened her son's coffin and tried to climb inside with him. Anna Nicole died five months later.

Little Dannielyn was just five months old when her mother died. Although her birth certificate named her father as Anna Nicole’s lawyer, Howard K. Stern, it was eventually confirmed through DNA testing that photojournalist Larry Birkhead was the real dad, and he has raised the little girl ever since. “[Dannielynn] keeps me on my toes, because she's very smart and she's asked things already about her mom,” Birkhead told “Entertainment Tonight” last year. “She can walk by her picture and she'll give a kiss to her mom in a photo album.”

Howard K. Stern was Anna’s longtime attorney and friend, and the two even had a commitment ceremony in the Bahamas in 2006. After Anna's death, Stern fought Birkhead for custody of Dannielyn, but lost. In 2010, he was put on trial for supplying Anna with the prescription drugs which killed her, but was later acquitted. But that wasn't the last we'd hear from him: Last August, Stern convinced a judge to grant him the title to Anna’s Studio City mansion since he's still the executor of her estate. The $1.75 million five-bedroom home was promptly put on the market -- even though Birkhead and Dannielyn were living there. It’s still for sale, and now for $250,000 less.

Who can forget Anna's very, um, colorful, interior designer, Bobby Trendy, who became a staple on her reality show. Although he and his client were constantly at odds over his over-the-top ideas, Trendy has had continued success with his Beverly Hills business of decorating and staging homes -- and he has Anna Nicole to thank. "[She] made me famous," he said in 2007. "I'm forever grateful to her." To this day, the eccentric Trendy still shows up on the occasional red carpet and is followed by the paparazzi.

Kim Walther was so dedicated to her boss, Anna Nicole, she even had the bombshell tattooed onto her arm. Today, the former personal assistant works at an Ophthalmology office in Southern California, where she "regularly coordinates clinical trials involving the distribution of drugs for their Research Department," according to a Radar Online investigation last July.

Anna Nicole's personal physician Dr. Sandeep Kapoor was put on trial in 2010, along with Stern and Anna's therapist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, to face charges of supplying her with the prescription drugs that eventually led to her death. Although he was acquitted of any wrong doing, that hasn't stopped him from publicly discussing his questionable relationship with his client. Last August, Dr. Kapoor appeared on Dr. Drew's HLN show and admitted he and Anna once made out during a "party situation," to which Dr. Drew called him out for his unprofessionalism. "Under my care, she was not a drug addict," Dr. Kapoor maintains.

As Stern and Birkhead were locked in a bitter battle over Dannielyn, none other than Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, interjected himself into the fight, claiming he and Anna Nicole had shared a decade-long affair. Since losing to Birkhead, he has grabbed headlines with a number of bizarre events. In 2007, he claimed that three female "fans" robbed him and handcuffed him naked to a car, and in 2010 von Anhalt was hospitalized for swallowing a bee, which stung his throat, and another time for gluing his eye shut. That same year, von Anhalt announced his candidacy for Governor of California, but later withdrew citing his 94-year-old wife's health issues.
