A kiss has always been a big deal in Bollywood. Here's our pick of the top 10 onscreen lip-locks.
Vinod Khanna and Madhuri in 'Dayavan' (1988): This movie was a remake of Kamal Hassan's 'Nayakan' but the film was remembered more for the explicit lip-lock between the young Madhuri and Vinod Khanna.
Aamir and Karisma in 'Raja Hindustani' (1996): Karisma falls in love with her guide and they kiss in the rain. This scene holds the record for one of the longest Bollywood kisses.
Mallika Sherawat and Emran Hashmi in 'Murder'(2002): The film made it to the headlines for quite a few extensive love-making scenes. Needless to say, the kisses created quite a buzz.
Amitabh and Rani Mukherji in 'Black' (2005): A very sensitive moment captured between Rani and Amitabh and how conflicted he feels for kissing his visually challenged student.
Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta in 'Saalam Namaste' (2005): It was nicely shot scene between the lead pair when they decide to live together and give their relationship a shot.
Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in 'Dhoom 2' (2006) : Aishwarya usually has a very strict no lip-lock policy. Rumour has it that the scene between Duggu and Ash did not go down too well with the Bachchans.
Kareena and Shahid Kapur in 'Jab We Met' (2007) : It's a pity that this was their last film together. Shahid and Bebo shared awesome onscreen chemistry in this film and sealed their unusual love-story with a sweet kiss.
Hrithik and Barbara Mori in 'Kites' (2010): Their sizzling chemistry had everyone wondering if there was actually some fire that caused all the smoke. While they looked great together, the film failed at the box-office.
Madhavan and Kangna in 'Tanu weds Manu' (2011) : Madhavan and Kangna make an unsual pair but their simple love-story and a tight liplock scene made for an interesting watch.
Katrina's steadily refused to kiss her co stars (on screen, that is) but she had no issues smooching Hrithik in ZNMD. She clinched the kissing deal with Hrithik for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Katrina and Hrithik were ready to scorch the screen but the sensual heat was so tangible, that it was suggested to director Zoya Akhtar to tone it down.
