It's only been a fortnight since Bollywood's hottest new couple, Riteish-Genelia, tied the knot. Though the busy schedule prevent them from going to some exotic location for honeymoon, that doesn't stop the duo from spending quality time together. Photos
Their knotty matters bagged the media spotlight in a major manner. Their almost a decade long story culminated in marriage on Feb 3 .
The lensmen missed no chance to snap the newly weds whenever or wherever they were spotted together. During the Celebrity Cricket League match, the duo didn't involve in unnecessary PDA and behaved quite normally with each other, though she did enthusiastically cheer for her husband everytime he bowled or bat on the pitch.
Riteish is a Hindu, while Gen is a devout Christian. They got married in a lavish Maharashtrian style wedding, which was followed by a church wedding.
When quizzed by media-masses as to who was better: Riteish the hubby or Riteish the boyfriend, Genelia is reported to have said,"Riteish is Riteish. He's just great. He's grown tremendously as an actor and as a co-star he keeps you on your toes."
The duo had met up to pair cinematically for Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. And although the twosome had never really bared their romantic equation with each other over the years, they did go public once all matters were in place and both families gave the go-ahead for their bond.
Most singletons fear the loss of independence once the marital bond is clinched. Riteish, however, asserts that it was far from a concern for him.
The actor-architect is quoted to have said, "Being together for so many years, I do not fear losing any kind of freedom as such. We know each other well. Trust is important for any relationship to sustain and I am glad that we continued our relationship with dignity."
"We are so used to each other now that we know exactly what one's likes and dislikes are. We took our commitment a step further by solemnising it into marriage. I know either of us has no fear losing our independence or singlehood," he added.
Incidentally, the lovesome twosome who share screen space in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, did go through the motions of a marriage for the flick, though Riteish asserts in a media quote that,"It's nothing close to the real thing. It's hard to describe how it feels, but I'm very happy for sure."
The couple are thick in the midst of travelling the length and breadth of the country promoting their forthcoming flick: Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya .
